Paul Codling (born September 5, 1975 in Berlin, Vermont) is an American entrepeneur. He is owner of Liquitrips.com, an independent business development consultant, mortgage and financial specialist and company sponsor of the Georgia Gwizzlies, an ABA franchise.
Early life
Paul Codling grew up in Northfield, Vermont; a small picturesque town 10 miles directly south of the state capital city of Montpelier in a working class family; his father was a carpenter trademans and construction worker. Codling's first step into the business world occurred at the age of 14, he held a variety of jobs, including prep-cook, stock clerk and general labor work. Rather than enrolling into college after graduating from High School, Codling enlisted himself for US Military service. Codling served his country doing a 3 year tour of duty with the U.S. Navy (1994-1997) onboard the U.S.S Enterprise (CVN-65), the world's first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier warship and longest naval vessel in the world at 1,123 feet (342.3 m). On the U.S.S. Enterprise Codling managed and supervised 22 Naval personnel while working as an Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Aircraft Director).
Education & Business Career
Codling's business, sales & marketing experience spans over 13 years within the retail, wireless communications, commercial steel building and flooring industries. Paul studied Business/ Sport Management (with an Emphasis in Sport Marketing & Promotions) and minored in Marketing at Daniel Webster College in Nashua, NH. He commuted to and from school while working as a sales consultant for Staples, Inc and Gold's Gym International, Inc. After a little over one year at Daniel Webster College, he transferred to Old Dominion University's Norfolk, Virginia main campus where he continued to study Business/Sport Management full-time. He also worked as a salesperson for Steelmaster Buildings, Inc., in addition to attending school full-time. There he acquired & established commercial business relationships with companies like Opec, Exxon, Chevron, 3M, Canon Corporation, Ball Corporation and celebrities like music artist Dick Dale, TV personality Jay Leno, actor Tim Allen as well as NBA's Alonzo Mourning and David Stoudamire. In 1999, he also worked for Sprint's PCS Division shortly after Sprint's partnership with RadioShack Corporation (formerly Tandy Corpoation). There he helped develop, market and sell their large portfolio of CDMA wireless communications services and products through RadioShack Stores across the Hampton Roads, Virginia market positioning it as the #2 wireless market in the nation. Codling also briefly worked with US Buildings, Inc., and in 2002 he assisted in the coordination of two "start up" pre-fabricated steel building franchises called Interstate & Major Steel Buildings, Inc.
In Spring 2004, Codling moved to Sandy Springs, Georgia, a newly incorporated city, as of December 2005, and a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. He went to work as an independent flooring sales contractor for the top ranked Northlake, Illinois-based home furnishings company (a specialty flooring retailer) Empire Today, LLC., specializing in flooring installation which operates and employs over 3000 people in over 50 major metropolitan areas in the United States and Canada. There he assisted in the development and marketing of their next day installation services on all carpet, hardwood flooring, laminate flooring and ceramic flooring products to residential and commercial clients. Through his dedication, hardwork and long hours in the field, he helped position Empire Today as the #1 Specialty Flooring Retailer in the U.S. and one of the Nation's Top 200 Brand Names (ahead of Office Depot, Post Cereals, Hallmark, Panasonic, Johnson & Johnson, Dunkin' Donuts, H&R Block, Intel, and PlayStation). Since 2005, Codling has also contributed help to Mortgage Investors Corporation, Ace Mortgage Funding, LLC as well as BayRock Mortgage Corporation with business sales development.
The birth of Liquitrips
In 2005, Codling organized LIQUITRIPS Travel & Promotions aka LIQUITRIPS.COM when he envisioned 2 key and unique business concepts for the Southeastern Region and North America as a whole:
1) Educate and connect the general consumer to the highest quality travel products, resources and tips in the market industy today, for the lowest wholesale price possible. 2) To professionally educate and consult business consumers about the features and benefits of implementing travel incentives into there advertising, sales and marketing campaign to increase their current businesses customer/web traffic flow, lower overhead, sales development, customer retention and boosting overall net sales revenues by up to 35% with in a realistic period of time.
What's NEW with LIQUITRIPS
Codling recently devised and implemented a 3rd unique concept into Liquitrips business portfolio. It includes an interactive internet based co-op advertising, profit sharing and sales promotions strategy that proactively helps start ups, small and medium-sized companies incorporate a profitable supplemental business income stream. This long-term business relations concept rejuvenates positive creative outside-the-box thinking while strengthening the core values of a business. Lastly, it promotes a company to be more proactively focused on future goals and rapid financial growth.
Personal Interests
Codling is an admirer of Objectivist philosophy and author/philosopher Ayn Rand: "The Fountainhead was incredibly motivating to me. It encouraged me to think as an individual, take risks to reach my goals, and responsibility for my successes and failures. I loved it."
Codling volunteers in his spare time for Habitat for Humanity and enjoys assisting in fundraising campaigns for homeless charitable network organizations.
His interest include:
Most professional sports (Major League Baseball, an avid Atlanta Braves and Boston Red Sox baseball fan, basketball, hockey, tennis, volleyball, mountain biking and skiing); working out, hiking, camping, flying aircraft, coaching amateur sports. He also enjoys online auctions, sports history and statistics, collecting rare sports memorabilia and art, world travel, networking and social events.

Richard Haines has 6 years of solid Marketing Experience under his belt, after working for the Atlanta Thrashers and writing for the Atlanta Hawks, he went on to become the Director of Marketing for Merritt Mortgage, where he successfully started numerous revenue increasing campaigns. He also has over 30 nationally published articles, and is a member of the Atlanta Press Club. Thack is now a key factor in leading the Atlanta area sales team, while assisting in developing Liquitrips national sales and marketing campaigns.
